BARI - The film “I missed the train but the next one took me to the sea”, by Apulian director Graziana Di Santo, has been selected for the 43rd edition of the Bellaria film festival, scheduled from 7 to 11 May in Bellaria Igea Marina (Rimini).

Spread over five days, the Bellaria Film Festival combines the two historic competitive sections dedicated to Italian cinema (Casa Rossa and Gabbiano) with a competitive selection of international films (Casa Rossa Internazionale) presented in Italian preview, a retrospective dedicated to the history of the Festival (Le Avventurose) and many special events.

In one of these sections, the film by Graziana Di Santo, shot in Bari and Santa Maria di Leuca, was chosen . The director, born in Andria, wanted to tell through images the cultural/wild dichotomy through two roundabouts: a road left uncultivated reveals the potential of biodiversity present in the wild. In a second road roundabout of the latest generation, the Cartesian arrangement of plants and trees was used to create particular geometric decorations. The spontaneous question that the director asks the public is the following: is the contrast between these two subjects necessary for well-being in contemporary existence?

The promotion and enhancement actions of the Apulian locations were carried out using resources from the POC Puglia 2014/2020 - Axis VI - Action 6.7., as part of the intervention "Promoting Cinema 2024".
